Energy Secretary Chris Huhne will face charges over allegations that he asked his then-wife to take his penalty points for a speeding offence in 2003. It looks set to end a promising political career for the man who wanted to be Lib Dem leader.
So why is this of interest to the electrical industry?
Well it matters - it matters a lot because as the minister in charge of regulating the energy market, he has been instrumental in the much criticised FIT reductions which in turn have damaged the burgeoning Solar PV industry.
So who is the new minister?
Nick Clegg, the leader of the Lib Dems, has appointed Ed Davey, who was originally a business minster .
