City and Guilds | Candidates: 6 | Duration: 5 days | £875.00 +VAT

PLEASE ensure that you read through the information provided for this training course, including the expectations of candidates, fully before booking - we are here to advise and we welcome you to contact us if you have any questions.

City and Guilds 2391-52 combines all of the elements of Initial Verification and Periodic Inspection and Testing.

It is aimed at *experienced* electrical inspectors (including electricians and electrical engineers) who are currently performing inspection, and the full range of single and three-phase electrical testing, and are seeking a qualification that embraces all the disciplines for carrying out Initial verification and Periodic inspection, as well as carrying out a full range of functional electrical tests on both single and three-phase electrical installations.

It is intended for those practising and experienced electricians and electrical engineers who wish to formally demonstrate, with an accredited qualification, their knowledge and abilities in performing both Initial verification and Periodic inspection on single and three-phase electrical installations. The qualification covers all the disciplines of Initial verification and Periodic inspection. It comprehensively covers all the methodologies of testing and inspecting as outlined in BS 7671 (within Part 6) and IET Guidance Note 3.

Please note that this qualification is a direct replacement for both City and Guilds 2394 and 2395 as it covers all of the processes and disciplines for carrying out comprehensive testing, Inspection and a periodic inspection on a three-phase electrical installation.

The qualification is endorsed by the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) as well as being supported and recognised by competent person scheme providers.

This combined testing and inspecting qualification will significantly benefit practising, *experienced* electrical inspectors (including electricians and electrical engineers) who wish to provide evidence that they have a thorough understanding of inspection and testing.

If you are unsure whether this training course is suitable for your individual level of skill and experience, please contact us to discuss!

It also commonly regarded as a requirement for enrolment on a competent person scheme.

This qualification is a progression towards City and Guilds 2396: Level 4 Award in the Design and Verification of Electrical Installations.

The associated training sessions will involve discussion of the following formal Learner Outcomes:

Outcome 1: Understand requirements for inspection and testing

Outcome 2Understand safety management procedures when undertaking inspection and testing

Outcome 3: Understand the requirements for the inspection of electrical installations

Outcome 4: Understand the requirements for testing electrical installations

Outcome 5: Perform inspection and testing of electrical installations

Reference will be made to related publications; including BS 7671, IET Guidance Note 3, and IET On-site Guide, and it is therefore anticipated that candidates are aware of, and understand the navigation of these publications.

All potential candidates should be aware that there will be an expectation that candidates continue their studies inbetween and outside of the training sessions, to aid in preparation for the examinations and assessments - we therefore strongly recommend that candidates are able to navigate the content of BS 7671. If you need "hands on" training specifically on BS 7671, you can book a place on our City and Guilds 2382-15 course or speak to us directly by calling us on 0800 170 7007.

The multiple-choice exams and the short-answer examination are known as 'open book;' candidates will be allowed to refer to *clean copies* of BS 7671, IET On-site Guide and IET Guidance Note 3, however all assessments and examinations are robustly Invigilated and are conducted in accordance with Joint Council of Qualifications (JCQ) regulations and requirements.
