City and Guilds 2394-01 Level 3 Award in the Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installations SPECIAL OFFER

City and Guilds | Candidates: 6 | Duration: 4 days | £509.00 +VAT

The City and Guilds 2394 qualification has been designed as one of the replacement qualifications for City and Guilds 2391-10.. The other qualification in the family is City and Guilds 2395.

City and Guilds 2394 is not a "direct" replacement for City and Guilds 2391 but shares many of the characteristics of City and Guilds 2391. As part of the updating process, the series of practical assessment have been thoroughly revised and updated.

We have successfully delivered this important qualification, and already City and Guilds 2394 is seen as a robust test of the individuals testing skill and electrical knowledge. To support this important qualification, we have a structured approach, so that you are assured that when you train with us, you will be thoroughly and totally trained.

Please note that the award is "split" into 3 distinct units which all candidates MUST successfully complete in order to achieve the qualification:

Unit 301: on line e-evolve examination         Unit 502: Electronic 'Written' examination           Unit 303: Practical Assessment

City and Guilds 2394 is essentially aimed at practicing electricians who have not yet carried out any extensive inspection and testing since obtaining the 17th edition or perhaps since qualifying; or who require some update of their training before going on to other City & Guilds qualifications.

The qualification may also be suitable for those with limited experience of initial verification and the inspection of electrical installations, and who have knowldge of electrical systems.

Although the course is principally designed for those who are already involved in the electrical industry, we suggest that those who are considering entering the industry, particularly from other engineering disciplines or who have been working in allied trades may find the course beneficial.

Important Information

As the course itself deals with the application of knowledge involved with the inspection and testing of electrical installations, it is anticipated that candidates who wish to undertake this course should have some electrical experience in inspection and testing of electrical installations; preferably participation in the process of initial verification and/or periodic inspection and testing.

All potential candidates should be aware that there is no practical "hands on" training with City and Guilds 2394 - we recommend that if you need training specifically on electrical testing, that you book a place on our ever popular City and Guilds 2392-10 course or speak to us directly by calling us on 0800 170 7007.

Delegates are required to obtain up-to-date copies of BS 7671 and IET Guidance Note 3.

This course leads to a fully accredited level 3 qualification. At the moment, City and Guilds are only releasing a maximum of 5 examinations dates during 2012, however, this is subject to change at short notice.

Please note that the electronic  'written' examination is a "closed book" examination.
