Every year, around 1,000 accidents at work involving electricity and are reported to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE).
Tragically, about 30 people die as a direct result of electrocution. This means that every day, three people accidentally come into contact with electricity and that every single month, two people die.
The dangers of electricity cannot be minimised, and we at Total Electrical Training have developed an intensive 1 day training course covering electrical safety.
This course is aimed at those with basic electrical knowledge who are required to isolate electrical equipment as part of their role.
Additionally, the course gives those with a basic electrical knowledge an awareness of electrical safety and the processes in carrying out safe isolation of electrical equipment. This course is based around the guidance issued by the Electrical Safety Council, HSE Guidance Note GS38 and the Memorandum of Guidance on the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989.

Although this is a non accredited course, we can provide delegates with an optional short examination.
All delegates receive a certificate of attendance with successful delegates passing the optional examination, receiving a Total Electrical certificate.
This course is subject to vat and is inclusive of all course materials, examination fees and refreshments.
Publications for this course are sold separately and not included in the price.
It is anticipated that delegates wishing to attend this course, will already have some understanding of electrical theory and definitions..
We strongly recommend that prospective candidates are also in possession of a successful 18th edition BS 7671 certification; this is normally evidenced by way of a City and Guilds 2382 qualification.
We also suggest that delegates should have some background knowledge of the principles of electrical testing.
